Introducing Stumpy.

There's a squirrel with no tail that lives outside the Biological Sciences building. It's got a tail la, but only a small bit of it. Maybe it got rolled over by a car, or got into a pub brawl, i don't know. The people in the Bio building know it by sight and they call it Stumpy. There are two common species of squirrels on campus - a large, grey variety and a small black kind, and Stumpy is of the latter group. Apparently it sometimes falls out of the branches, probably because of the imbalance due to lack of tail. I'd imagine it gets bullied a lot by the other squirrels (maybe they shove him off the trees and steal his nuts) since their tails are such handy things to wave around and show off (like pompoms) and poor Stumpy has none. Today i saw it being chased by a mean looking large grey squirrel, while another small black one stood around and watched the drama unfold. Tsk tsk.

I self-congratulation is in order, i think. I have put my foot in the door of the world of nerdy discipline. Did i just decline an invitation to go for Indian food with Jochen, Michael, Sara and Pawan just so i can read up on my plant physiology lectures i've missed? Oh yes i did! They're going to the casino after so that Pawan can show off his blackjack skills and win a lot of undeserved money and buy drinks for everyone after that.

My goodness i'm so impressed with myself.

One day into the school term (okay, fine, two, but i spent the previous day sleeping from 230pm to 900pm and hence ponned class). I miss mummy and papa and Ohlie very, very much. I have endless fun with Olie. I wish she was here.
