O Happy Day.
Today is a happy day.
If you remember the English essay i was moaning about a few weeks ago, i feel compelled to tell the world that, as much as you hate essay writing, it is possible to get *coughfullmarkscough* if you get into it properly. So like i said, today is a happy day.
This also because engineer Bean snuck in to my bio lab today and was my partner for the day. It was so fun! She kept squealing wah! so exciting! as she poked around in my dissecting kit. We had so much fun cutting up the squid and shoving its innards around. She also jabbed the ovaries out of shape and marveled at her work. It was a particularly cool lab today since we cooked parts of our squids in tempura batter and ate them and wrote our names in my lab notebook with the squid's ink. Then we viciously burst it's eyeballs and wondered at them for a bit. We were the last ones to leave since much time was spent touching the starfish and anemones (or nehnehnehmonys as Bean says) in the fish tank and discussing lobsters. I was incapacitated at the last part of the lab since i sliced my hand open with my scapel while hacking away at the skin of a very stubborn shellfish. So Bean happily finished hacking for me and got squirted with a shower of yellow mollusc juice, lamenting her lack of biologist skills. It was the funnest lab i've ever had.
