Royston Tan's Cut.

I never knew the extent of censorship that the Singapore Board of Sensors impose on films screened in Singapore. I've always been slightly offended when foreigners tell me that Singapore is one of the most uptight, ridiculously expensive cities they've ever been to, because you know, don't anyhow talk about my country okay! We got char kway teow leh you got or not?! But of late, i'm starting to think that maybe we are too strict and self-righteous for our own good, and many of the restrictions imposed on us are quite unnecessary. It isnt a protection measure anymore - it's become a lifestyle.

Regarding movie censorship, watch Royston Tan's Cut and say it isnt so.

I thought when you grew up the choices in your life were yours. I have personal morals which i would like to see evident in society. But then, who are we to say what others can or cannot do? Is imposing morals on society the right way to make people moral? The question is not whether it is right to make people moral, but whether the way you make people moral is right.
